i have GTA 4 but never been online with my ps3 before. I am having a hard time connecting my ps3 to internet. I use the cable that connects my pc with internet for the connection with my ps3. I start my ps3 after i pluged in my cable. However i keep getting error messages when trieing to connect. (8002AE1D, 80710102) Treat me like a complete noob when it comes to computers, I tried to look it up on forums but i got dizzy with all the information they gave me so I thought Ill try it here.

I had the same problem in the beginning, i had to solve it by putting my network information manualy. =)

I tried that balle but i am not sure if i put in the right numbers. for IP adress and default router i put in the numbers i get when doing a (failed) connection test. primary and secondary DNS number i found on the internet, is this for everyone the same? i have (primary 208.67.222.222 and secondary 208.67.220.220) And i am not sure what to put with MTU and the speed and duplex settings so i just kept them on automatic. At tyf i have no idea what that is so guess not. ps i use 40 gig PS3 if that makes any difrence

i just bought my PS3 before going to work today so I'll probably come up with the same problem as Dt has. re the online name it´s to be continued, first prio is getting the basic console and GTA going when I get home tonight. =D
