Big Bang
Bigbang have been dubbed Norway’s Greatest Live Band, and have been a major force in the Norwegian music scene for over a decade.

During the past two years, the band has spent time focusing on the American market. Based in California, they have toured the country, playing intimate gigs and promoting their American debut From Acid to Zen, a compilation of songs from previously released albums.

The album was very well received and resulted in great reviews among others from Rolling Stone Magazine’s Editor David Fricke: It’s a shotgun buffet, like those early U.S. LPs by the Beatles and the Rolling Stones that combined album tracks and singles from unrelated sessions, and it succeeds the same way: like an instant greatest-hits record.

Thomas Dybdahl
Multi award winning artist in Norway. Described in media as:

"Delicate but lush music recalls that of Tim Buckley, Nick Drake and other forward thinking songwriters". -Norwegian press

“Thomas Dybdahl writes songs that move in for extreme close-ups: his acoustic guitar, his breathy voice, his vows of love…the tempos are glacial and the instruments few and pristine, so that every gesture is exposed. Anything less than total grace would turn precious and cloying, but Mr. Dybdahl maintains his poise; each song has the delicate suspense of a drawn breath.” -The New York Times

I guess a love or hate artist. I have a broad music taste, and actually love her voice.

Calm lovely voice. Quite an unknown artist even in Norway (Can't even be found on YouTube). Actually this is a friend of a friend / band mate of mine. Check out the song Jasmin on her web page. To me she sounds like she has listened a lot to Sinead O'Commer.

Gluecifer
A band from Oslo. In my opinion Norway's best Rock Band. Too sad they split up. They were never really big, but they constantly toured around in europe in small and big clubs. They were big in Germany. Live is where this band really blossomed. They even got the nick name "Kings of Rock" from fans.

Spotify:

Span
Another band from Oslo. They also split up.

Jarle Bernhoft
The vocalist from Span wanted something different after many years with rock. This time some easy funky stuff if that is your cup of tea. Great voice on the guy.

A friend of Inry and I, started a project in the 90´s. His focus at the time were smoking weed, hating Microsoft, making weird sounds and the Acorn Archimedes personal computer. I actually think maybe Heisenberg will like this.

Has been a up and coming Norwegian artist in the last three years. Here is a pretty nice live performance from Norwegian TV. And it's all live, not some sing / playback shit.

This song makes me think it's not a coincident that they were support act for The Dandy Warhols. Good stuff.

A different "sound" from them.

Norway have always had a nice synthpop/EBM scene along with Sweden. Here are a couple of examples from Apoptygma Berzerk:

Apoptygma Berzerk - Starsign

Apoptygma Berzerk - Shine on

Apoptygma Berzerk - Non-stop Violence

These guys have some amazing cover songs too. Like Metallica's Nothing Else Matters. Check 'em out on Spotify.

...and also a couple of tracks from Icon of Coil. Andy LaPlegua (vocals) now leads Combichrist - who have a more tougher and rougher electronic music style than IoC:

Icon of Coil - Former Self

Icon of Coil - Regret

Check out more of Icon of Coil on Spotify.

Combichrist - Sent To Destroy

As you can see in this video - their image is more a shock rock thingie, rather than the EMB/goth thingie.

Well, they got some good tunes on Spotify as well

Seigmen were one of the bigger rock bands in Norway. Their breakthrough was sung in norwegian, but they later switched to english. I think maybe I've been to 15-20 or so concerts with this band throughout the years the were active :)

Here are two examples - one norwegian and one english.

Seigmen - Hjernen er alene (live)

Seigmen - Universal

They are of course on Spotify too. Linkzor here!
